
While she spends her days diving in the sciences researching for the latest integrative and holistic therapies for her patients, on weekends she likes to relax and go on long walks. She and her husband like to take road trips, while he shares with her about Ayurvedic and Siddha practices – which he grew up with as an integral part of his culture in southern India. They both are avid photographers as well.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Before naturopathic medical school, Dr. Sharhan received a bachelor’s degree in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, and worked on various research projects, including at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Sharhan also holds advanced training in hormone replacement therapy, botanical medicine, sleep and circadian rhythm regulation, nutrigenomics, IV therapy and craniosacral therapy.
MEMBERSHIP AND RECOGNITION
Dr. Sharhan is an active member of the American Public Health Association where she serves as a research reviewer for the APHA Annual Meeting and Expo.
