Dr. Reem Sharhan, N.D.

Specializing in integrative family medicine, women’s health, and pediatrics

Dr. Sharhan is licensed naturopathic doctor, trained as a primary care practitioner at Bastyr University in San Diego, California. Growing up in different countries (including the UK, Middle East, and the US), Dr. Sharhan got to experience medicine globally. This background gives her a broad outlook on life, and she uses this perspective to serve people from all backgrounds and provide an inclusive space to all her patients. She speaks Arabic fluently.

While she spends her days diving in the sciences researching for the latest integrative and holistic therapies for her patients, on weekends she likes to relax and go on long walks. She and her husband like to take road trips, while he shares with her about Ayurvedic and Siddha practices – which he grew up with as an integral part of his culture in southern India. They both are avid photographers as well.

Before naturopathic medical school, Dr. Sharhan received a bachelor’s degree in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, and worked on various research projects, including at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Sharhan also holds advanced training in hormone replacement therapy, botanical medicine, sleep and circadian rhythm regulation, nutrigenomics, IV therapy and craniosacral therapy.

Dr. Sharhan is an active member of the American Public Health Association where she serves as a research reviewer for the APHA Annual Meeting and Expo.
